Why ROAR raw chocolate?
Although studies have shown that eating chocolate every day can be beneficial to the health especially of the heart due to the presence of antioxidants called flavanols alot of these benefits can be negated by the addition of cane sugar and dairy products.
Furthermore the nutritional benefits are reduced if not destroyed by the high temperatures used in the roasting and manufacture of normal chocolate.
The antioxidants levels of raw cacao are "off the graph" compared to cooked chocolate.
When we started to make raw chocolate we decided to keep it simple, so you'll only find two ingredients in our Signature chocolate - cacao and agave - which is the base for all our products, no salt, soya or unnecessary fillers as we believe if you want chocolate you want chocolate. That's also why we make it at a 'shaman' strengh of 81% cacao
